Settings is where you configure every aspect of your DetailAhead workspace — from the public-facing details on your booking page to how your data is protected at rest. Open Settings by clicking Settings in the sidebar, or by selecting it from the user menu in the top-right corner. The Settings panel is divided into sections; click any section name in the left-hand navigation to jump straight to it.

Set your business name, address, phone number, and email address. These details appear on your customer-facing booking page and in booking confirmation messages. Keep them accurate so customers know exactly who they’re booking with and how to reach you.Your booking page link is shown here too — share it with customers or embed it on your website so they can book directly.
Update your personal display name and email address used to sign in. You can also change your password from this panel. My Profile is also accessible directly from the user menu in the top-right corner of any page.
Set which days you’re open and your start and end times for each day. Mark any day as Closed if you don’t take bookings on that day.DetailAhead uses these hours to determine which time slots customers can choose on your public booking page. If a day is closed or a time is outside your hours, it won’t appear as available.
Choose which events trigger a notification and how you receive them. You can enable or disable alerts for:
  • New booking submitted
  • Order status changes (e.g. pending → completed)
  • Low inventory stock warnings
  • Customer review received
  • Referral redeemed
Toggle each notification type on or off to keep your inbox and alerts focused on what matters most to you.
Create and manage the tags you use across Customers, Orders, and Finances. For each tag you can set a name and a colour — click the colour swatch on any tag to change it. Edits here update the tag everywhere it’s already applied.Auto-tag rules let DetailAhead apply tags automatically based on each customer’s booking history. Turn on rules like:
  • Returning — applied when a customer books a second time
  • New customer — applied on a customer’s very first booking
  • No recent visit — applied when a customer hasn’t booked in a defined number of days
  • Due callback — applied to flag customers ready for a follow-up
Turning a rule off stops it from being maintained going forward — it doesn’t remove the tag from customers who already have it.
Toggle between light mode and dark mode. The preference is saved to your account and applies across all your devices.
The Security panel has three sections:Customer data encryption — when enabled, DetailAhead encrypts all customer personally identifiable information (PII) — names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, and notes — in your browser before storing it. The database only ever holds unreadable encrypted text. Your booking form submissions and referral names are covered too. You set a passphrase that acts as the encryption key.Change password — update the password you use to sign in to DetailAhead.Danger zone — permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action is irreversible.
Once you enable customer data encryption and set a passphrase, losing the passphrase means your customer data cannot be recovered — not by you, and not by DetailAhead support. Store your passphrase somewhere safe, such as a password manager, before saving it.
