The dashboard is the first screen you see when you log in to DetailAhead. It brings together everything that matters at a glance — money earned, jobs booked, and what’s coming up next — so you can make decisions without digging through menus. Every figure updates in real time from your orders and transactions, and an adjustable date-range selector lets you scope the whole page to this month, the last 3, 6, or 12 months, or all time.

KPI cards

At the top of the dashboard, four headline cards summarise the health of your business for the selected period.

Revenue

Total income from completed and paid orders in the period. Includes a trend arrow comparing the latest month to the one before it.

Expenses

Total product costs and outgoings recorded against orders. A downward trend here is shown as a positive signal.

Profit

Revenue minus expenses, calculated automatically. Shows the percentage margin when revenue is above zero.

Jobs Completed

Count of orders at Completed or Paid status. Shows the average order value beneath the number.
Each card compares the most recent month in the selected range against the previous month and surfaces the percentage change so you can spot trends without doing the arithmetic yourself.

30-day order volume and workload charts

Below the KPI cards, a Workload chart shows the number of jobs booked per day for the next 14 days. Use it to see where your week is light or overloaded at a glance. Next to it, the Who’s on what panel shows how many assigned jobs each team member still has left to complete, so you can redistribute work before the day starts. For accounts with financial access enabled, a Monthly Revenue bar chart and a Revenue vs Expenses grouped bar chart render beneath those — both scoped to the selected date range.

Order status breakdown

The status tiles section shows a count for each pipeline stage across the selected period:

Confirmed

Jobs you have confirmed with the customer — appointment is locked in.

Completed

Jobs where the work is done but payment has not yet been recorded.

Pending

Bookings that are waiting for your confirmation.
Click any status tile to jump straight to the Orders page filtered to that status.

Upcoming appointments panel

The Upcoming Orders section sits above the date-range controls and always shows the next 7 days regardless of the range you’ve selected. It displays up to six upcoming jobs sorted by earliest first, each showing the customer name, service, date, time, location, and a live countdown pill — “in 2 hours”, “Tomorrow”, “in 4 days” — that updates without a page reload. Completed, paid, and cancelled orders drop off automatically. Click any appointment card to open its order detail page.

AI summary

Each section of the dashboard includes an AI Summary card that generates a plain-English insight about your data for the selected period — for example, spotting a revenue increase, flagging an expensive month, or noting that a particular service is dominating your job mix. Select Refresh on the card to generate a fresh summary at any time.
AI summaries are available on plans that include the Ask AI feature. If the AI Summary card is not visible on your dashboard, check that your plan includes AI access under Settings → Billing.

Monthly breakdown table

At the bottom of the page, the Monthly Breakdown table lists every month in the selected range with its revenue, expenses, profit, and job count in a single row. Use it for a quick period-over-period comparison without exporting anything. Next to it, the By Service panel shows what share of your completed jobs each service type accounts for as a horizontal bar chart. The search bar in the top bar lets you find any customer, order, or vehicle from anywhere in the app. Type a customer name, phone number, email address, or order ID and results appear instantly. Press Enter or click a result to navigate directly to that record.

Notifications bell

The bell icon in the top bar shows a dot whenever you have unread notifications. Notifications appear for new booking submissions, low-stock alerts, new reviews, and referral activity. You can dismiss individual notifications from both the bell popover and the Notifications panel on the dashboard.
Use the sidebar to navigate between features. Select the collapse arrow at the bottom of the sidebar to give yourself more working space on smaller screens — all labels fold away leaving only the icons.
